protect and conserve all war memorials within the UK.

The charity seeks an Assistant Conservation Officer with initiative
and enthusiasm to support the Conservation Officer in delivering the
Trust's conservation, advisory and grant-making activities.

You will have some knowledge of, and a strong interest in, the
conservation of the historic environment, relevant legislation and
the technical issues involved in the care and repair of war
memorials. You should be able to provide advice and guidance to
custodians and members of the public on all aspects of war memorials
in line with the Trust's policies and act as an advocate for war
memorials' protection and appreciation.

The post is offered as a 12-month contract. It is full-time and
London based but flexible hours can be discussed. . The salary is
UKP20,000.
