The Special Collections department of UCL Library Services is
looking for volunteers to help in the cleaning and preservation
programme now underway for its renowned collections of rare books
and archives. The programme of cleaning is in preparation for the
collections' move to the Institute for Cultural Heritage planned for
completion in 2010 (visit: <URL:http://www.ucl.ac.uk/ifch/> for
details). Training in specialist handling of rear books and
archives, cleaning procedures and making custom made boxes will be
offered.

During last summer we were fortunate to have had the assistance of a
number of volunteers from the US, Canada, Spain and the UK, but with
such large collections to clean and box more are needed.
