Recently developed instruments and techniques are allowing
conservators and scientists to study archival collections and museum
objects in new ways without having to remove a sample.  Mark Ormsby
from the Research and Testing Laboratory will discuss the use of
near-infrared spectroscopy to measure the concentration of gelatin
sizing on historic papers.
