Subject: Call for papers--AIC Book and Paper Group, ACDG
ACDG 2009 Call for Presenters The Archives Conservation Discussion Group (ACDG) of the AIC Book and Paper Group is pleased to announce the 2009 session topic: Conservation and Preservation approaches for stabilizing large scale collections The theme is complimentary to the Library Collections Conservation Discussion Group (LCCDG) theme of LCCDG 2.0-New Directions, which will highlight advances in item-level treatment techniques. ACDG will look at the same treatment advances applied more broadly to large scale collections such as triage treatment and preparation of collections for a move, digitization project, or general cataloging and processing. The co-chairs are seeking individuals to present on all types of large scale conservation efforts of paper-based collections in museums or libraries. Speakers are asked to prepare a ten to fifteen minute presentation, and provide a one-page handout for reference and web-posting. If you have experience working on innovative collections-based approaches to treatment or housing and are interested in participating, please contact us at acdg.chair<-a t->gmail< . >com with a short description of your project by January 16, 2009.
