Established in 1915, the San Diego Museum of Man is an anthropology
museum with an exceptional collection of over 100,000 objects,
nearly 50,000 photographic images and a scientific library of
approximately 50,000 volumes. The museum currently occupies the
landmark California Building and Quadrangle that were constructed in
1915-1916 as part of the Exposition. These buildings, while
historic, provide inadequate storage for the collection. The museum
is now beginning a comprehensive, multi-year project to bring the

create a state-of-the-art facility that provides access to the
collection to researchers, scholars, and members of the communities
represented in the collections.

The museum is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate the project.

renovation project ensuring that all projects goals are met on a
timely basis and within budget. The candidate will be responsible

of the collection throughout the storage renovation; 5) Oversee
staff health and safety throughout the project; and 6) Collaborate
with Museum of Man staff for fundraising and grant writing.

Qualifications and Requirements include: 1) Minimum of Bachelor's
degree; 2) Project management experience; 3) Experience or training
in moving museum collections, as well as a knowledge of collections
management and collections documentation; 4) Computer skills,
