Conservator Archives of Manitoba, Canada Qualifications: The successful candidate must be a graduate of a recognized conservation training program with a specialization relevant to the position, or have an acceptable combination of education and related experience. Experience planning and carrying out a broad range of preventive conservation activities is required, as well as a sound knowledge of the history, technology and conservation treatment of a wide range of documentary heritage materials. Experience in the preservation of archival records, audio-visual media, and/or digital media is desirable. The candidate will demonstrate adaptability and effective interpersonal, communication and self-management skills. Duties: The incumbent will perform ongoing and project-based preventive conservation activities and conservation treatments, and participate in developing and implementing preservation strategies for the Hudson's Bay Company Archives and other holdings of the Archives of Manitoba.
