13.25 month contract
UKP24,659 - UKP29,640 per annum

The Victoria and Albert Museum is seeking a full-time conservator
with wide experience and knowledge of all aspects of the
conservation of sculpture and architectural detail. The work will
include the assessment and technical examination of objects,
practical interventive and preventive conservation.

You should have a recognised qualification in conservation of
sculpture or architectural detail, with some practical
post-qualification experience. You will possess a sound knowledge of
conservation techniques including preventive methods, along with an
understanding of the materials and techniques of sculpture.
Enthusiasm, versatility, good interpersonal skills and the ability
to work both independently and as part of a team are all essential
requirements. You should also be capable of achieving an excellent
standard of work and meeting deadlines. Computer literacy, previous
experience of working on monuments and knowledge of the V&A and its
collection would be desirable.
