The Art Gallery of Western Australia is seeking a dynamic individual
to plan and implement a program for the conservation and treatment
of objects to support the Gallery's programs, maintenance and
protection of the State Art Collection. The successful applicant
will have a tertiary qualification in conservation of cultural
materials with a speciality in objects conservation, or practical
equivalent experience working in the heritage industry. A thorough
knowledge of conservation analysis, treatment and the preservation
of objects is also required, as is a demonstrated ability to apply
sound professional knowledge to perform and manage preventive
maintenance tasks and disaster recovery programs.
