Subject: AIC response to Midwest floods
AIC has been in contact with several collecting institutions affected by the floods in the Midwest, and is coordinating responses with members of the Heritage Emergency National Task Force. The AIC Collections Emergency Response Team (AIC-CERT) has been assisting on the ground, by phone, and via email. FAIC has funds for deployment of AIC-CERT members from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and the Samuel H. Kress Foundation. Collection institutions in need of help with assessment, organizing response or recovery efforts, or other services or advice can contact AIC-CERT by calling the AIC-CERT hotline: 202-661-8068.
