Glasgow Museums manages the city's 13 museum venues on behalf of
Glasgow City Council. The encyclopedic collections have been
described as one of the best civic collections in Europe. The
buildings we operate include the Burrell Collection and Kelvingrove
Art Gallery and Museum. In addition to collections care and
operational issues we are currently involved in a number of exciting
projects, including the new Riverside Museum Project.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible conservation professional
to manage all aspects of the preventive conservation programme and
contribute to capital projects.

You will manage and develop the networked environmental monitoring
systems, provide specialist advice on materials and installations,
input to the Collections Care strategy, Museums Accreditation and
implement a staff training strategy.
