Paper conservator Glenbow Museum, Calgary, AB, Canada The Glenbow is looking for a Conservator of paper artifacts (works on paper, objects which incorporate paper, archival documents, photographs) to provide preventive care and treatment of works on paper in storage, on exhibition or loan. The chosen candidate will also be responsible for providing training, advice and assistance to other staff and the public regarding paper artifact conservation and assisting with reviewing the condition of paintings for loan and exhibit. Qualifications include a Master's Degree in Art Conservation (Paper) or equivalent, four to five years of experience in paper conservation, minimums of intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook. Also required are good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently as well as in a team, ability to multi-task, well developed fine motor skills and manual dexterity, and skill at colour matching. This is a full-time one-year term position covering off a Maternity Leave commencing October 13, 2008 Salary range is 45,858 to 58,099 per annum. Glenbow offers a full benefit package.
