This summer's Conservation Matters in Wales will have the theme
'Wales--The International Dimension'.

It will be a  one day conference to be held on Thursday 12 June 2008
at the Oakdale Institute Museum of National History, St. Fagans,

    10:30am     A Doorway to the Past: displaying faience tiles from
                Djoser's step pyramid and Saqqara, Phil Parkes
    11:15am     Parchment meets Nanoscience, Tim Wess
    11:45am     Storing Qu'hrans at the National Library and Archive
                of Egypt, Bob Child
    12:15pm     Paper Conservation: International Collaboration is
                the only way forward,  Velson Horie
    12:45pm     Questions and discussion
    1pm         Lunch
    2pm         The Langorse Textile--continued, Louise Mumford
    2pm         Ancient Greek Helmets: the journey of a research
                project, Panagiota Manti
    3pm         Back from down under,  Heather Perry
    3pm         Final questions and discussion
    4pm         Coach leaves main car park for Cathays Park
