Subject: Meeting on variable pressure scanning electron microscopy
The following is posted on behalf of Alex Ball, Electron Microscope Unit Manager, The Natural History Museum, UK. The Natural History Museum will be hosting a one-day meeting on Variable Pressure Scanning Electron Microscopy in association with Electron Microscope Users South (EMUS) and the Society of Electron Microscope Technology (SEMT). The meeting will be held on the 4 June 2008. This will be an opportunity for the trade and research communities to get together in one of the world's great research institutions. The Natural History Museum has housed electron microscopy and analytical facilities since 1965 and has been carrying out research using variable pressure SEM since 1979. The aim of the meeting is to discuss a broad range of variable pressure SEM applications and to invite discussion from the trade as to the current and future capabilities of variable pressure SEM. There is no registration fee to attend this meeting and refreshments and a buffet lunch will be provided.
