Jars for biological specimens

From: Simon Moore <simon.moore<-a>

I am researching the type of liners used in recent (up to circa 30
years) plastic-top screw-lidded museum jars, particularly for "wet"
(IMS or formalin-preserved) biological specimens. Please advise me
what sort of jars you might be using together with an idea of the
lid liner--composition, and how effective it may be at preventing
evaporation and how long it has lasted effectively.
