Short internship in stained glass conservation

The Institute of Conservation--Icon--is advertising a unique
five-month internship as part of  the third year of its innovative
scheme for broadening access to careers in heritage conservation and
diversifying its workforce. Icon offers a bursary (UKP14500p.a.,
pro-rata) for a 5- months' work-based internship starting April 2008
in the workshop of Holy Well Glass in Wells, Somerset. The placement
is designed to lead into the new MA in Conservation of Stained Glass
at the University of York. The placement is aimed at new entrants to
conservation from arts, sciences, crafts or wider heritage-related
backgrounds. Note that candidates will need to meet University
criteria for the MA, as well as those for the placement. Information
