Silicone

We recently received a device with the outer case that is medical
grade polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) silicone (Nusil Med 4011 to be
exact).  It has a bit of an odor which raises the question of
offgasing and possible inherent vice.  What issues should I be
concerned with regarding long term storage of the artifact?
