Icon 2-Year Internship in Conservation of Timed-Based Media Based at Tate Store, London Supervised by Pip Laurenson ACR Funded jointly by Tate and Heritage Lottery Fund Educational stipend of UKP14500 - UKP14750 p.a. This 2-year internship, funded jointly by Tate and the Heritage Lottery Fund and administered through Icon--The Institute of Conservation--aims to give the right person a unique career development opportunity to enter an emerging field within the conservation of contemporary art. Time-Based Media Conservation forms one of Tate's seven conservation sections and is responsible for works of art in Tate's Collection that have a film, video, slide, audio, performance or computer based element. To apply, you will need to a recognised qualification in conservation and should be at an early stage in your career. You do not need to have experience in the conservation of time-based media works of art, but you must demonstrate an interest in learning new skills and engaging in new challenges. This internship has been designed to provide experience of working with a variety of time-based media works of art across a range of activities within a major contemporary art museum.
