Visiting Specialist (based at Hampton Court Palace)
Treatment Conservation Secondment [12 to 24 months]
Historic Royal Palaces, London, UK

The tapestries, textiles and other mixed materials of our Historic
Royal Palaces are windows to the past. By enhancing our conservation
expertise, you'll be ensuring people can enjoy them well into the
future.

Based within five of the greatest palaces ever built, you will join
a 16-strong team working to conserve some of the world's finest
collections and decorative interiors. The Visiting Specialist
Programme offers a unique opportunity for an advanced level
treatment specialist to refresh their knowledge and enhance ours by
developing techniques and training internship for our treatment
programmes at this centre of excellence.

Your degree in Conservation will be supported by substantial
experience and an advanced technical knowledge of conservation
treatments. A general understanding of treating non-textile objects
would be advantageous. You will also need a proven record in
delivering conservation treatment work plans and mentoring
conservators.

Historic Royal Palaces encourages PACR accreditation.
