Photographing oversize materials

We are interested in the lamps our colleagues are using for
traditional photography of oversize materials.  We are looking to
replace Lowel Softlight 2 tungsten-halogen lamps that do not offer
a safety feature to contain glass from rupturing bulbs.  Has Anyone
purchased Lowel Rifa-lites or similar lamps?
