Salary
UKP 30,000 per annum plus bonus

The managing director, Trevor Proudfoot, is adviser to the National
Trust and English Heritage for stone and plaster conservation.
Cliveden Conservation provides specialist conservation services for
historic buildings with a reputation for quality conserving on
statuary, carving, wall paintings, decorative plaster, stonework and
mosaics. We are a friendly company based in the grounds at Cliveden,
Berkshire, with other offices at the Ammerdown Estate near Bath and
at Houghton in Norfolk.

We require an assistant to the managing director to join our team.
The position calls for a thorough understanding of building
conservation and surveying and you will ideally possess
qualifications or a proven high level of skill in these areas.

The role will involve:

    *   Coordinating and partaking in advice to English Heritage and
        the National Trust

    *   Preparing professional survey reports for new projects

    *   Working in close conjunction with section managers in the
        areas of Decorative Arts, Plaster and Stonework

    *   Monitoring technical aspects on conservation projects

    *   Coordinating research with the workshop scientist

    *   Carrying out other ad hoc tasks in support of the MD

You will be used to providing accurate and timely information to a
high standard. Knowledge of AutoCAD drawing and the construction
industry would be an advantage. Computer literacy is essential as
are excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enthusiasm.

Bonuses will be based on the successful commissioning of surveys,
projects and sales. Although mainly office based, the position
involves a degree of travelling throughout the UK. Candidate must
hold a full driving licence. Discounted accommodation is available
