The lecture will review the historic and current literature on the
manufacture, usage and issues surrounding the ageing characteristics
of these pigments.  Of particular focus are the potential
detrimental effects to paper substrates when zinc oxide and titanium
dioxide are present. Cost: UKP6, students UKP3 with card--correct
