The Preservation Directorate of the Library of Congress is pleased
to announce approval to hire four (4) new scientists.  The four
scientists will work with state-of-the-art equipment in the recently
redesigned Preservation Research and Testing Division.  They will
facilitate the Library's program to preserve traditional,
audio-visual, and digital collections, as well as maintain quality
assurance.  The first of these positions has been posted for the
following:

The incumbent will serve as a Laboratory Manager under the general
supervision of the Chief of the Preservation Research and Testing
Division.

The three remaining scientist positions will be posted within the
