Questionnaire: Uncovered contemporary paint-fixation and
consolidation treatments

This questionnaire is part of a thesis project called: "Uncovered
Contemporary Paint Stabilizations Systems and Treatments Research.
Criteria and Methodology of Intervention", developed by Ms Teresa
Pastor Valls (Ph D Student), and directed by Ms Carmen Perez Garcia;
Polytechnic University of Valencia (Spain), Conservation and
Restauration Department. This project was financed by the ICO
Foundation (2003-2005).

The main objective of this survey is to gather the experiences of
professionals, obtaining a global vision and thereby to allow
adjusting the area of study to meet professionals' real needs with
regard to fixation and consolidation in the conservation and
restauration of contemporary art. It also aims to document the
different study chapters; reproducing real cases in the experimental
phase for later testing.
