Museum of Music and Visual Art is a newly established foundation
consisting of Bergen Art Museum,  Edvard Grieg Museum Troldhaugen,
Lysoen Museum, Siljustol Museum and The West Norway Museum of
Decorative Art.

The museum has an opening for a qualified full-time Paper
Conservator. The position becomes permanent after a 3 month trial
period. Proposed starting date January 7, 2007. The position is
primarily attached to Bergen Art Museum (Bergen Kunstmuseum).

Bergen Art Museum's collections include approximately 8000 works of
art on paper. For further information on the museum collections

The position will involve all aspects of museum conservation;
including preparation for loan, courier trips, environmental
monitoring, exhibitions etc. as well as conservation treatments.

Applicants should have a degree in conservation from a recognised
training program and some experience after training. We are
interested in candidates who are creative and feel confident working
independently.

Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. Bergen Art
