The position is responsible to the QAR Project Chief Conservator and
will work cooperatively with others in the Queen Anne's Revenge
Shipwreck Project Team. For information about the QAR Project see
<URL:http://www.qaronline.org>. The postholder will assist with all
aspects of conservation and documentation of archaeological
artifacts recovered from a marine underwater environment, from
recovery in the field through to transfer to museum.

The postholder will have experience and education in archaeological
artifact conservation, preferably of material from a marine
environment.  A Master's degree in conservation (archaeological
artifacts), archaeology, anthropology, or a closely related field;
or graduation from a four year college or university with a major in
conservation, archaeology, anthropology, or a related field and two
years of progressive experience in materials conservation or
archaeological conservation; or an equivalent combination of
training and experience.
