New list: Papyrus conservation

Twenty conservators specializing in papyrus conservation met for a
conference September 7-9, 2006, in Leipzig, Germany. The conference
was organized by the University of Leipzig. Topics presented
included causes of damage, adhesives for papyrus conservation,
storage, mounting, cartonnage, case histories, and digitization. A
postprints of the meeting is planned for publication in 2008. The
group hopes to organize future meetings on papyrus conservation
every three years.

Professor Dr. Reinhold Scholl, University of Leipzig, has
