Conservator (Paper) - Maternity Cover

UKP21,447 per annum, Fixed term contract for up to 6 months

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our Conservation
and Collections Care department.  You will undertake practical and
preventive conservation work on a wide range of paper and related
objects from the Museum's collections for display, loan and study
purposes. You will also be expected to participate in cross
disciplinary projects and collections care works as required.

The successful candidate will have a recognised qualification in
paper and must show commitment to collections care and increasing
collections access. Previous relevant experience is desirable.  You
will work on your own initiative with the minimum of supervision and
will produce high quality work to tight deadlines.
