National Gallery of Victoria

We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the
position of Senior Conservator of Paper. This position manages the
Paper and Photographs Conservation Section, leading a team of two
specialist conservators, plus fixed-term contractors and service
providers.

The Paper and Photographs Section is responsible for examination,
documentation and treatment of irreplaceable works of art from the
collections of Prints and Drawings, Photography, Contemporary, Asian
and ATSI (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Art.

Applicants must have a tertiary qualification from a recognised art
conservation training programme or equivalent, including extensive
experience working in the examination and treatment of art on paper,
and management of a specialist discipline within an arts
institution.
