Subject: Compact storage
At the RISD Museum we are finalizing a design for a storage room for our prints and drawings collection in a new building. We are considering electronically controlled compact storage units with battery powered back-up because the most efficient design for the space calls for especially long carriages. We would appreciate hearing from anyone with experience using electronic compact units, especially more recently constructed ones, as we've been hearing that reliability has greatly improved over the years. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, Linda J.
