Paper Conservator Indiana University Indiana University seeks a conservator of paper who will supervise and manage operations of the Paper Conservation Unit of the E. Lingle Craig Preservation Laboratory. This includes overseeing overall treatment and maintenance of paper materials from Indiana University collections to include manuscript and archival materials, works of art, maps, and ephemera. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in liberal arts or sciences, knowledge of and skill in bookbinding and paper conservation techniques, and extended training and thorough working knowledge of the principles and procedures in paper conservation. In addition, they should have a minimum of 3 years post-internship professional experience as a paper conservator in a conservation program in a research library or similar institution and thorough knowledge of the American Institute for Conservation's Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice.
