The National Monuments Record (NMR) is the public archive of English
Heritage, containing over 10 million photographs, maps, plans and
drawings relating to the historic environment of England.

As Conservator, you will provide a high quality and cost effective
conservation service for the NMR through in-house work and
management of external contracts.

You will advise on preventative conservation measures for the NMR
collections and research and develop conservation procedures and
policies for the large photographic collections.

You must have a recognised qualification in archive conservation and
ideally at least three years experience of archive preservation and
conservation in a practical working environment. However
consideration will be given to applicants who have not had three
years practical experience, but who show a willingness to undertake
further training or possess practical awareness of conservation
issues posed by photographic materials.
