Connie Brooks departs Stanford

After more than 17 years as head of Stanford University Libraries'
Preservation Department, Connie Brooks will leave her position in
early August to move with her family to San Marcos, Texas (about 30
miles south of Austin). Connie's husband, Gary McLerran (currently
Head of Preservation Services at the Hoover Institution), will
become a partner in BookLab II <URL:>,
which specializes in custom housings, limited edition bindings, and
conservation library binding and repair for libraries. After
getting settled, Connie will be available for consulting
