Jan Storm van Leeuwen Speaking at Princeton

The Friends of the Princeton University Library invite the public to
a lecture by Jan Storm van Leeuwen, Keeper of the Binding Collection
(retired) at the Dutch Royal Library in The Hague, on Thursday, June
22, 2006.  His lecture is entitled "Bookbindings in Works of Art and
Their Relationship to Reality."

The lecture will begin at 5pm in Princeton University's Jimmy
Stewart Film Theater, 185 Nassau building.  There is no fee to
attend the lecture.  Entry to 185 Nassau is at the rear, through the
courtyard.  Parking is immediately adjacent to the building.

Jan Storm van Leeuwen has published widely in Dutch, English,
French, and German on the history of bookbinding.  He gives courses
in the history of bookbinding at the Amsterdam Restoration School
and at the Plantin Society in Antwerp.
