Research Assistant Buckinghamshire Chilterns University College High Wycombe, UK To preserve the High Wycombe furniture Archive through a sustainable digitisation programme UKP23,181 per annum Design (High Wycombe) This post is for a fixed term of 30 months, subject to regular reviews. The Faculty of Design has a national and international reputation in Art and Design education. International partnerships and significant industry links across all fields give a unique quality to all our activities. Our AHRC funded Furniture Research Centre is running a major, innovative project to digitise and disseminate the High Wycombe Furniture Archive. Key staff are now needed to support this programme. The research assistant will interpret and translate the analogue High Wycombe Furniture archival collection (images and accompanying text) into a standardised catalogued digital format, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council resource enhancement scheme. This research project is entitled 'creation of HW furniture electronic archive' (ID No: 119158). You will research and implement appropriate cataloguing standards and controlled vocabularies for the High Wycombe Furniture Archive. Working as part of the project team you will also assist in the development of the interactive website and will also be involved in disseminating this content rich e-archive.
