Subject: WAAC Annual Meeting
The 2006 WAAC Annual Meeting will be held in the auditorium of the Center for Creative Photography (CCP) on the campus of the University of Arizona, which is in central Tucson. Talks will be held all day Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 21-22, 2006; there will be an opening reception at the Arizona State Museum (also on the campus) the evening of Friday October 20, 2006. A tour of the Western Archaeological and Conservation Center of the National Park Service has been arranged for that Friday afternoon; the tour is free but registration is required due to limited space. Also of note is the workshop Spot Tests for Materials Characterization, co-sponsored by WAAC and AIC, which will be held in Tucson October 17-20, 2006, very convenient to the meeting. Registration and information materials for both the meeting and the Spot Tests Workshop can be found <URL:http://palimpsest.stanford.edu/waac/>. Talk submissions are being accepted now.
