New site: Mazarin Chest Project

The Mazarin Chest project is a Japanese lacquer conservation and
research project that brings together an international group of
curators, conservators and scientists. The Project is funded by the
Toshiba International Foundation, the Getty Foundation, a programme
of the J. Paul Getty Trust, and the V&A. A new website, at

gives an overview of the project, with sections on art history,
manufacture, conservation, research, project partners and
bibliographies. The website will be updated during the course of the
project.
