The National Archives <URL:http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk> is
the National Archive of the United Kingdom, in particular England
and Wales, and is a leading source of archival research material. It
has one of the largest archival collections in the world, spanning
1000 years of British history, from Domesday Book to government
papers recently released to the public.

As part of an on-going programme of development with the newly
renamed department of Collection Care, The National Archives is
seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated conservator eager to
take this opportunity to help strengthen and develop the
conservation section to serve the future needs of The National
Archives.

The successful candidate will have a recognised qualification and a
minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience beyond initial
training. The appointee will carry out a range of conservation
treatments on archival records dating from the 13th century to the
present, bringing both excellent practical skills and a thoughtful
approach to delivery.
