Subject: Lighting control
Does anyone have any design plans to share for self-shuttering viewer-activated exhibition frames or cases for flat artworks? This is for consideration for travelling exhibition to sites where light levels cannot be guaranteed below 50 lux. Ideally, the mechanism for a self-closing curtain or lid would be self-contained, low-tech, non-electrified, extremely reliable, discreet in profile, and as easy to install as a typical frame/case. Simple exterior curtains are not ideal as there is no guarantee that the curtain would be closed completely and continuously at all sites. Direct replies or references email are welcome. Nora S.
