"Examination and Treatments of Works on Paper with Iron Gall Inks"
Instructor: Valeria Orlandini

    A two-day workshop on April 6-7, 2006
    9pm-5pm

    Aimed at practicing paper and books conservators and museum
    staff. Space is limited to 20 participants (no registration
    fee).

Lectures will cover the history, composition, chemistry,
deterioration processes and treatments of iron gall ink on paper.
Practical sessions will focus on visual examination, pre-treatment
testing methods and current treatment options for ink-corroded
objects.

Valeria Orlandini, AIC Professional Associate and formerly
conservator in private practice in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Orlandini graduated from the Winterthur/ University of Delaware
Program in Art Conservation and undertook advanced internships in
paper conservation in the United States, United Kingdom and Canada
(2000-2002). Currently she works in private practice in Oberlin,
Ohio, USA.

All these activities will be in Spanish
