Subject: Call for papers--Seals
International Round Table Congress on Recent Research into the Nature, Condition and Conservation of Seals March 19-24, 2007 The International Conseil des Archives (ICA) and Oxford University Library Services (OULS) is pleased to announce that there will be a Round Table Congress at held Oxford, UK, in March next year 2007. The congress will hosted by the OULS Conservation and Collection Care department, in partnership with the ICA Sigilography Section. The congress will be held at Merton College Oxford and is being organised by Chris Woods, Head of OULS C&CC. If you have been involved in, or have published recent research work into the nature, condition or conservation treatment of seals/sealed documents, of seal attachments such as cords or tags and historic seal enclosures, and you are interested in presenting the findings to an international group for discussion, we would be delighted to receive an abstract and some information about your work. There will be a maximum of 15 participants chosen to make presentations and contribute to the congress. Participants' accommodation costs will be paid for, travel costs will have to be met by the participant or his/her organisation. Please send your expression of interest or abstract to: C.S.
