Trainee post
Conservation of Archaeological metal objects

ADC ArcheoProjects is a company that carries out archaeological
excavations in the Netherlands. These projects are large
infrastructural as well as on a smaller scale and they generate lots
of finds, of which metal finds are a relatively large and important
group. Of these metal finds, a substantial part is stabilized and
consolidated after excavation. For this purpose, ADC ArcheoProjects
has its own Conservation Section in which the objects are treated
for stabilization, determination and storage (both temporary and
long-term).

At the Conservation Section, which is part of the company's
Specialist Department, a trainee post for archaeological metal
objects has become available recently. Students from conservation
training programmes in the Netherlands and abroad are invited to
apply for this trainee post. The trainee will have the opportunity
to work with a broad range of finds from various contexts,
archaeological periods, types of metals and conservation conditions.
The trainee post is for a duration of at least 3 months (4 days a
week).
