Archive Conservator Dorset History Centre UKP23,952-UKP27,491 p.a. from April 2006 We are looking for a full-time Conservator to carry out a wide range of conservation and preservation activities, including remedial treatments for various types of archive formats (those found among the collections include papers, works of art on paper, parchment). The post would also support the supervision of microfilm and digitisation programmes and take part in assessment of collections. The Preservation Team offers all aspects of conservation, environmental management and reprographics to the Centre, outside bodies and private clients. You should be a qualified conservator with two or three years experience of carrying out a wide range of treatments and providing preservation services in an institutional setting or in the commercial sector. Further advanced technical training and professional development will be provided, including help towards achieving or maintaining Accreditation.
