Subject: Lecture on preservation science
The Preservation Directorate of the Library of Congress would like to invite you to the next lecture in its series on Topics in Preservation Science (TOPS). Friday, March 17, 2006, Dawn Olney (Head of Collection Storage at the British Library) will present "Innovations at the British Library: A High Density, Fully Automated, Low Oxygen Environment Storage Facility". This talk will describe the key issues, management objectives, and key decisions that are leading to the construction of a new state-of-the-art library collection storage facility. The lecture will be held from 2-3 PM in the West Dining Room, Madison Building 6th floor, Library of Congress (101 Independence Avenue SE, Washington, D.C. 20540). The Topics in Preservation Science lectures are free and open to the public.
