Workshop on disaster response

The Preservation Directorate of the Library of Congress announces a
series of workshops on "Salvage of Library Collections."

In an effort to help victims of past and future natural disasters,
such as the recent series of hurricanes, the Preservation
Directorate of the Library of Congress will offer workshops on
salvage of library collections. The next workshops are March 7, 2006
and April 25, 2006 and run from 9:30am - noon. These workshops,
which are free of charge, are open to a limited number of
participants, with preference given to librarians from regions
affected by the hurricanes.
