Call for Papers: Archaeological Sciences of the Americas Symposium

We are pleased to announce the second Archaeological Sciences of the
Americas Symposium to be held in Tucson at the University of Arizona
on 13-16 September 2006. The symposium was conceived to address and
discuss issues pertaining to the science of prehistoric and historic
materials. This year, we are excited to include a session directly
dedicated to research in conservation and conservation science
entitled "Conservation Studies and Ephemeral Remains".

We are currently inviting submissions for papers pertaining to
conservation and conservation science. Topics that focus on
archaeology of the Americas will be given priority. However,
professionals and students who work and train in the Americas, but
not on material specifically from the Americas, are also encouraged
to submit abstracts.

The symposium will be held at the University of Arizona in Tucson
September 13-16, 2006. We are looking for students, academic faculty
and professionals working in independent and government settings, so
please feel free to forward this message to others who would be
interested.

Abstracts are limited to 250 words and the submission/payment
deadline is 1 May 2006. Final papers will be limited to 20?25
minutes.
