Guillotine

We have at National Museum Wales a Harrild guillotine/board chopper
which we use mainly for cutting mount board. The blade is in need of
sharpening and we've just found out that Harrild (who maintained the
blade and machine for many years) have gone out of business. Our
problem is also compounded by the fact that our spare blades were
taken away by Harrild last time they came and serviced the machine.
I have been trying to search for a local company who can help us but
have had no luck. I have had offers from museum technicians to "have
a go" but as we only have one blade am reluctant to let anyone
experiment. What have other Harrild guillotine owners done in
regards to blade sharpening? Or can anyone make a suggestion?
