Object conservator
Kulturmagsinet/Helsingborgs museer

The Kulturmagasinet is seeking an object conservator. The full-time
position will entail all aspects of preventive and interventive
conservation. This includes  undertaking treatment related to
exhibitions, documentation and mounting of objects for storage.

The Kulturmagasinet is an independent institution within
Helsingborgs museer which also consists of Henry Dunker Cultural
Center and Fredriksdal--museums and gardens. The Kulturmagasinet is
responsible for the collection, archives and library within
Helsingborgs museer.

The collection contains about 250,000 objects, mostly from late 19th
and early 20th century from the northwest part of the region Skane.
Also in the collection are 300,000 photographs and negatives.

At the Kulturmagasinet there are three conservators working with
fine art, objects and textiles. There is also one paintings
conservator working with public art.

Applicants should have completed a recognized conservation training
program and preferably have many years of experience. You will be
able to organize your own workload and work independently or as part
of a team.

Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
