"The Road to Productive Partnerships" SPNHC-NSCA 2006 Joint Annual Meeting Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico May 23-27, 2006 <URL:http://www.msb.unm.edu/meetings/SPNHC-NSCA2006> The Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections and the Natural Science Collections Alliance will hold a joint annual meeting in Albuquerque, New Mexico, May 23-27, 2006 at the Hotel Albuquerque at Old Town, in the heart of Albuquerque's historical district and just off Route 66. "The Road to Productive Partnerships" theme will focus on collaborations of scientific collections with partners such as government agencies, local and international agencies, and non-profit groups. Your co-hosts will be the University of New Mexico Museum of Southwestern Biology and the U.S. Geological Survey Arid Lands Field Station. In addition to invited speakers and oral and poster presentations, our program will feature a series of special sessions with relevant and wide-ranging topics of interest for today's museum professional. A series of workshops will be offered on May 27 and will highlight recent advances in georeferencing, digital imaging, data sharing, and bioinformatics. Several pre-meeting full-day and half-day field trips will be available, as well as museum tours on the University of New Mexico campus, a reception and banquet with live music, Trade Show, and unsurpassed networking opportunities.
