Comment period closing for RLG-NARA repository certification

At the end of August, RLG and NARA released a draft report for the
certification of digital repositories. The draft, titled "An Audit
Checklist for the Certification of Trusted Digital Repositories,"
has been in a *public comment* period since that time.

The public comment period is scheduled to end on 23 January, 2006.
[It had been scheduled to end 16 January, but has been extended to
the following week to account for the recent holidays and Martin
Luther King, Jr. Day in the US (16 January, 2006).]  The task force
has received many solid and constructively critical comments over
the past few months and would like to invite other organizations to
submit comments as well.  All comments received will contribute to
strengthening the certification checklist and assuring it is
responsive to the needs of the community.  We urge you to take part
in this public comment process.
