Textile Conservator Fixed term contract for two years The National Trust, Textile Conservation Studio Norfolk, UK. UKP20,893 The National Trust is Europe's leading conservation charity and its textile collections are of outstanding importance. The studio, housed on the estate of Blickling Hall in resently converted premises, is part of the Trust's conservation section. The studio is run as an enterprise offering services to external clients as well as undertaking major projects for the Trust. It also runs an intern training programme. This is a responsible position in which to build upon your skills and experience, with the opportunity to travel widely around the country, assisting the manager and team with practical work and student training both in the studio and on-site. This position will be of particular benefit to a conservator wishing to extend their experience of tapestry conservation. You should have a recognised textile conservation qualification or have completed an apprenticeship, be a team player, have a mature attitude, good communication and problem solving skills and a strong sense of self-motivation. You should be willing to work away from home on occasion. Accredited status is encouraged. A driving licence is essential.
